This unit of study will continue to develop the student's knowledge in the professional practice of diagnostic radiography. The techniques covered will introduce more specialised applications and novel imaging techniques that the student may encounter in the workplace. Anatomy, physiology, pathology, artificial intelligence and radiation protection will be integrated with corresponding imaging techniques of selected body systems including CNS, spine GIT and MSK. Dedicated tutorials on multi-planar anatomy and imaging are included in the UoS. Students will be expected to supplement and broaden their learning by independent research on relevant topics using available libraries and online resources.
