This fully online unit provides students with advanced knowledge and understanding of anatomy relevant to the human eye and visual system. The comprehensive syllabus covers the normal anatomical organisation of the human eye and orbit as well as relevant anatomy of the head and neck. Students will be able to confidently describe the principal components of the visual system and their function and will learn how diagnostic imaging is used in ophthalmic practice. The unit provides essential foundational knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy for graduates pursuing careers in vision science and ophthalmology.
