PAIN5022: Independent Studies in Pain
2025 unit information
In this unit of study students undertake independent study in pain management. The student identifies a suitable investigative project in an area of interest or an identified need/issue (clinical, scientific, educational, managerial or administrative) not covered in other pain units within the degree. A learning contract is used to support the investigative process (document objectives, learning strategies and outcomes).

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. identify an appropriate learning plan for the unit
- LO2. develop a learning contract proposal which is structured appropriately to meet the learning plan
- LO3. negotiate the terms of the contract based on your learning needs and the requirements of the course
- LO4. complete the learning contract and submitted evidence of having achieved the learning goals consistent with the stated objectives or competencies.
