In every field of research, occasionally there are momentous, horizon-extending, paradigm-shifting breakthroughs, which cause researchers to significantly change the way they think, work, and write. Such breakthroughs may be empirical, methodological, or theoretical. They may be old or new. Students will dive deep into a set of key breakthroughs from across the humanities and engage critically with core readings presented by seminar leaders. Through tracking diverse breakthroughs in the humanities, students will access ideas and developments in neighbouring disciplines, and will enjoy an interdisciplinary experience at the cutting edge of humanities research.
