Cumberland campus is home to the Faculty of Health Sciences. located 16 Kilometres west of the main campus at Lidcombe on spacious landscaped grounds and ultra modern facilities.

Getting there
By train
The nearest railway station to the Cumberland campus is Lidcombe station. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to walk to campus from the station, however we recommended using the available bus services, particularly after hours.
By bus
The Metrobus M92 service (Parramatta to Sutherland via Cumberland Campus) is at present running concurrently with the existing 915 bus (Lidcombe/TAFE/University) service.
Schedule
In peak am/pm periods Mon-Fri the service is running every 10 minutes and every 15 minutes in the off-peak period Mon-Fri. View the M92 timetable or 915 timetable.
Bus stop locations
- Lidcombe Station: The Lidcombe Station (Eastern Commonwealth Bank side)
- Cumberland Campus: Travelling towards Lidcombe - The Bus stop is located outside Gate 1. Travelling from Lidcombe station or towards Bankstown the bus stop is on East Street, located on the opposite side of road from the Campus between Gates 1 & 2.
Interconnecting routes
The Metrobus services allow for the planning of connecting journeys via bus with the M92 intersecting with the new M90 (Liverpool to Burwood) and M91 (Parramatta to Hurstville) services at the Bankstown interchange.
**When crossing East Street please use the pedestrian refuge, available 100m down-hill from the Bus Stop (towards Lidcombe) to cross East Street. The pedestrian refuge is there to assist you to cross the road in two stages. It does not give you right of way over vehicles. You are reminded that under regulation 230 of the NSW Road Rules 2008 pedestrians "must cross by the shortest safe route". This is by using the pedestrian refuge adjacent to Gate 1. The maximum penalty for disobeying this regulation is $2200.
We all have a responsibility for our personal own safety. Please ensure that you cross East Street safely and encourage your colleagues and students to do likewise.
Cumberland Campus Parking
Parking for the Cumberland campus is administered by Campus Assist located on Level 1 of the Jeffrey Miller Administration Building (A Block). For the location of gates and car parks, see Campus Maps.
Current Visitor parking fees are $5.00 per entry for Gate 2 & $4.00 per day for Gate 3.
Parking Areas on Campus
Gate 1
Entry via East Street, Lidcombe. Parking is limited to permit holders and approved temporary visitor's permits only.
Hours of operation - Gate 1 closes at 10.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00pm Friday during semester. At all other times the gate closes at 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.00pm Friday.
Gate 2
Entry via East Street, Lidcombe. Parking is available for swipe card holders and casual parking via coin-operated boom gate (change is not available). A $5.00 entry fee currently applies.
Hours of operation - Gate 2 is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
When the "FULL" sign is illuminated, coin entry will not be accepted.
Please note: staff who have swipe card access to the car park at Gate 2 are able to gain access by swiping their card through the card reader regardless of the 'FULL' sign.
Free after hours access to gate 2
To enhance the personal safety of staff and students and to encourage parking onsite, Gate 2 boom gate will be raised from 6pm to 6am Monday to Friday and all weekend until 6am Monday morning. There will be no fee payable during this period.
Gate 3
Entry via Weeroona Rd Lidcombe - Pay and Display machines are in operation. A fee of $4.00 per day currently applies. These machines dispense a printed ticket that must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard in accordance with the instructions printed upon it.
Hours of operation - Gate 3 is open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 9.00pm during semester only.
Any vehicle not displaying a current University parking permit, an approved temporary visitor's pass or a valid Pay and Display ticket is liable to be issued with an infringement notice. The registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for any penalty imposed.
Student Parking
Undergraduate Students
Parking on campus for undergraduate students is very limited and travel by train/bus is encouraged. However, car parking facilities at Gate 3 are available. Students must pay the daily fee using the Pay and Display machines. These machines dispense a printed ticket that must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard in accordance with the instructions printed upon it. The SEINS parking infringement system is in operation to control parking on University grounds and is enforceable 24 hours a day.
Postgraduate students
All Post Graduates are permitted to apply for parking in Gate 3 only. Post Graduate Parking Applications for 2012 MUST be submitted online. Click on the following link and follow the instructions. A UNIKEY login will be required. Student’s enrolment must be active to renew or purchase a parking permit. The online permit system will show the cost and availability of the permit
Note that the issue of a permit does not entitle the holder to park in any particular bay or position.
