You are invited to participate in a new Health Humanities research collaborative. The health humanities offer insights into the human condition as it pertains to the arts and sciences of healing and deepens understanding of disease and wellness, pain and suffering, personhood, the nature of death and dying, embodied experience, and the limits of technological knowledge. This collaborative will apply for node status with the Charles Perkins Centre.
MECO response to recent media coverage[29 October 2014]
The Department of Media and Communications (MECO) would like to publically acknowledge and thank our students and their parents for their overwhelming support in response to the recent media controversy about our teaching practices. Many academic colleagues have also contributed public statements affirming their support for us as media scholars and educators. Other journalists and commentators have taken this opportunity to further the debate on the importance of academic independence.
