‘Media & Disability: Future Issues and Research Agenda’

About the workshop: This workshop will provide a first-hand opportunity to hear about and engage with an the work of an international leader in media and disability research and practice, Professor Beth Haller.

Professor Haller’s presentation on her work will be followed by a panel discussing future issues and research agenda regarding media and disability. The panel will include: Professor Stephen Tanner (U. of Wollongong): Daphneé Cook (People with Disability Australia); Dr Anna Hickey-Moody (U. of Sydney); and Wayne Hawkins (Australian Communication Consumers Action Network).

The workshop will be followed at 5pm by the Australian launch of Professor Haller’s Representing Disability in an Ableist World
