Applying for admission

This course is currently not available to domestic students.

Admission as a Study Abroad student is assessed on an individual basis. You may apply (i) directly to Sydney Abroad, (ii) through a Study Abroad Program Partner, (iii) through a Study Abroad Agent, (iv) through a Study Abroad University Partner. A list of program partners and agents can be found on the Sydney Abroad website: Study Abroad Program Partners and Agents. If you are applying directly to Sydney Abroad, you should complete the online application available through the “Apply” button on this page.

If you are a citizen of Australia and New Zealand or a permanent residents of Australia living overseas and you would like to studyabroad at the University of Sydney you should apply for admission as a local non-award student.

 

Admission requirement

To be considered for the Study Abroad Program you need to:

  • have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree and submit substantiating evidence (testamur);
  • have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either 'Credit' or 'Good' average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of 'C' or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent)

All applicants must also have met the published English language requirements. Details can be found on the Sydney Abroad website: English language requirements.

Semester 1: 30 November of the previous year. Semester 2: 30 April of the same year. We strongly encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, offers are made on a rolling basis.
