Master of Management

Degree structure

To qualify for the award of Master of Management, a student completes units of study totalling 60 credit points, comprising:

  • seven core units of study (42 credit points)
  • a business project (12 credit points)
  • a capstone unit of study (six credit points).

Core units of study

  • MMGT6001 Strategy and Entrepreneurship
  • MMGT6003 Accounting and Financial Management
  • MMGT6004 Managing People and Organisations
  • MMGT6008 Global Marketing Management
  • MMGT6011 Team Work and Innovation
  • MMGT6012 Business Tools for Management
  • MMGT6013 Project Management in Context.

Note. Other units of study may be able to be substituted for the core units of study listed above with the permission of the Academic Program Director.

Business project

Students must complete 24 credit points of core units prior to enrolling in the Business Project unit.

  • MMGT6101 MMGT Business Project (12 credit points)

Capstone unit of study

The capstone unit is completed in a student’s final enrolment session.

  • MMGT6100 Advanced Management Applications

Progression guide

The Master of Management will involve a minimum of one year of full-time intensive study.

MMGT6013 will be offered in an intensive mode during the summer and winter sessions. Students can complete this unit in an intensive session in winter or at the end of their degree with the capstone unit, MMGT6100. It is recommended that students enrol in MMGT6013 at the conclusion of their first semester of study in the program.
