Indigenous Health (Substance Use)

Admission requirements

In general, admission to the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Indigenous Health (Substance Use) requires an undergraduate degree, or a certificate III qualification plus a minimum of 2 years related work experience, or at least 5 years work experience in Indigenous Australian communities.

Applicants need to demonstrate a knowledge of and a sensitivity to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people; provide evidence of support from their community and/or employer; and may be required to attend an interview.

Admission to the Master of Indigenous Health (Substance Use) requires completion of the embedded Graduate Diploma with a credit average.

Course structure

The Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Health (Substance Use) requires the successful completion of 24 credit points of core units of study.

The Graduate Diploma in Indigenous Health (Substance Use) requires the successful completion of 36 credit points of core units of study.

The Master of Indigenous Health (Substance Use) requires the successful completion of 48 credit points of units of study including:

• 36 credit points of core units of study; and
• 12 credit points of elective units of study.
