Table C subject areas (Other faculties)

Students in many degrees offered by the Business School are able to complete a major and/or electives from another faculty of the University of Sydney (depending on credit point restrictions and approval of the relevant faculty). For example, a language major from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, or a major in Environmental Studies from the Faculty of Science can be completed as a secondary major in the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies). These subject areas are defined as Table C subject areas (for Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) students, Major II options).

The Table C subject areas are as follows:

  • any subject area listed in Table A of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (including those offered by the School of Economics not listed in Table B)
  • any subject area listed in Table 1 of the Faculty of Science
  • units listed in Table B of the Sydney College of the Arts
  • any other unit offered by the faculties of the University of Sydney (approved by the relevant faculty)*

* For example, certain units from the University of Sydney School of Education and Social Work and the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning can be taken as elective units in some Business School degrees.
