This scholarship was established in 2003 by the dean of the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
a. Established in 2003 by the Dean, this Scholarship aims to encourage the most talented individuals to undertake undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning.
a. Open to international students who are recent school leavers and that apply and enrol in either of one of the following degree programs administered by the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney:
I. Bachelor of Architecture and Environments,
II. Bachelor of Design in Architecture,
III. Bachelor of Design in Architecture (Honours) and Master of Architecture,
IV. Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design), or
V. Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design) and Bachelor of Advanced Studies.
b. Eligible students must have achieved a minimum ATAR equivalent of 95 and must not have completed any prior tertiary studies.
a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as demonstrated through the HSC equivalent.
b. The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of the Dean and Head of School of the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
a. The Scholarship is valued at $1,000 and is tenable for one year only.
b. The Scholarship value will be paid as a lump sum payment after the first applicable census date.
c. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of the Dean and Head of School and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university.
d. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
e. No other amount is payable.
a. The recipient must remain successfully enrolled in their degree for one year.
a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. no longer is enrolled as an international student,
III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
V. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
VI. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.
c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
