Apply via the Universities Admissions Centre's Equity Scholarships scheme and elect the University of Sydney Business School for admission. You are also required to provide a personal statement in the scholarship application.
This scholarship is valued at $6000 for one year only, paid in two equal instalments following the census date each semester.
Note: Continuing students may also be considered for this scholarship.
This scholarship has been generously donated by Marc and Nadia Geary in honour of their daughter Victoria, to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds studying at the University of Sydney Business School, who aspire to have careers in the finance industry.

b. The scholarship specifically aims to support students that exhibit a passion for finance related streams of study, as well as those who aspire to careers in the private wealth management industry.
a. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident who apply and subsequently enrol into an undergraduate program offered by the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.
b. Applicants must obtain a minimum ATAR or equivalent of 95
c. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial hardship.
a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
I. academic merit as determined by the applicant’s performance in the NSW HSC or equivalent,
II. demonstrated financial hardship, and
III. a personal statement which outlines the applicant’s desire to study at the University Sydney Business School, specifically in finance and their future career aspirations. b. The Scholarship will be awarded by a selection committee consisting of the Dean of the University of Sydney Business School, or their nomine, in consultation with the donor. The final decision rests with the University.
a. The Scholarship is valued at $6,000 and is tenable for one year only.
b. The annual payment will be made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
c. Deferral or suspension of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior approval of the relevant Associate Dean and it is not transferable to another faculty/university school or university.
d. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
e. No other amount is payable.
a. To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum SAM of 65 each semester and remain enrolled full-time (24 credit points per semester) for the duration of the award.
b. Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this Scholarship are required to have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment.
a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. commences part-time study without prior approval,
III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
V. is awarded an alternative primary scholarship. In such circumstances this scholarship will be terminated in favour of the alternative scholarship where the alternative scholarship is of higher value,
VI. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
VII. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
