Applying for admission

This course is currently not available to domestic students.

Admission as an Exchange student is assessed on an individual basis. A list of Exchange Partners can be found on our Global Mobility database. You should complete the online application available through the “Apply” button on this page.

If you are a citizen of Australia and New Zealand or a permanent residents of Australia living overseas and you would like to studyabroad at the University of Sydney you should apply for admission as a local non-award student.

Admission requirement

To be considered for the Exchange Program you need to:

  • have a letter of nomination from your home institution; - have completed at least one year of study towards a degree at a recognised institution in your home country and are continuing towards the degree at your home institution;
  • have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either 'Credit' or 'Good' average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of 'C' or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent).

All applicants must also have met the published English language requirements. Details can be found on the Sydney Abroad website: English language requirements.

Semester 1: 30 November of the previous year. Semester 2: 30 April of the same year. We strongly encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, offers are made on a rolling basis.
