Rubrics and Canvas (with Cogniti Assistant)
This workshop is for you if you need to:
- Write or develop your assessment rubrics.
- Get help implementing your rubrics in Canvas to enable marking in SpeedGrader.
- Develop your understanding of how Canvas can support use of rubrics.
Learning goals:
- Awareness of how rubrics can be used to support student development of assessment literacy.
- Understand how rubrics can increase coordination and marking efficiency.
- Understand the capacity Canvas/SpeedGrader to support marking and provide feedback.
We will cover:
- Setting up Canvas rubric using your criteria and standards of performance
- Using the variety of rubric weighting features in Canvas
- Providing students with feedback in SpeedGrader
- Canvas rubrics and your Markbook
- Using a new Cogniti AI Rubric assistant
- There will be an opportunity for optional additional 30 minutes guided practice at the end.
