Stream: HIV, STIs and Sexual Health

Pathway: Nursing

The Nursing Pathway provides advanced education in HIV, STIs and Sexual Health for graduates in nursing and focuses on clinical, diagnostic, public health, social and program-related aspects. Students also have an opportunity to choose elective units of study from a variety of related topics such as counseling, contraception and reproductive health, adult sexual assault, sex education or public health. This Pathway is suitable for nursing graduates interested in pursuing a career in HIV, STIs and Sexual Health or nursing professionals who deal with HIV, STIs and Sexual Health issues as a part of their professional work and wish to gain greater knowledge and understanding in these areas. This includes those currently working in Sexual Health Clinics, Family Planning Clinics, Women’s Health and associated specialties.
