12 February 2014

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde will join award-winning journalist Tony Jones at the University of Sydney for a special edition of popular ABC TV program Q&A on Thursday 20 February.

Co-presented by the University and The Global Foundation, the IMF head will be quizzed by an audience of business leaders, students and members of the public on the state of the global economy, women in power, the G20 and more.

If you'd like to join the audience at the Seymour Centre, express your interest on the Q&A website and write 'IMF' in the 'How did you hear about us?' section.

The first woman to be Managing Director of the IMF and finance minister of a G8 economy, Lagarde is a noted French lawyer and politician.

Lagarde has held various ministerial posts in the French government, including Minister of Economic Affairs, Finance and Employment.
