CCE celebrates 25 years of lifelong learning
30 November 2009
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the University of Sydney is to host a public lecture by notable US political psychologist Professor Fred Greenstein to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
In 2009, CCE celebrates 25 years as a leader in community education and providing access to the University of Sydney's specialist knowledge and expertise.
The 25th anniversary recognises CCE's past achievements as well as its continued commitment to providing progressive and inspiring educational opportunities in the future - opportunities which continue to evolve in response to the community's social and environmental needs
To commemorate this special occasion, the CCE and the United States Studies Centre are proud to welcome Professor Fred Greenstein, Professor of Politics Emeritus at Princeton University, to present a public lecture: Barack Obama, the Man and his Presidency So Far.
Professor Fred Greenstein is a notable US political commentator and a published author on political psychology, in particular, leadership and decision-making qualities of US presidents. By examining Barack Obama's political skill, policy vision, cognitive style and emotional intelligence, his lecture will explore the significance of Obama's leadership style in the 21st century and what his global appeal means to Australia.
Following this lecture the Hon. Bob Carr will host a discussion with Prof Greenstein, including an opportunity for questions from the audience.
