Vice-Chancellor's statement on VSU

Following the passing of the legislation in Federal Parliament to end compulsory student unionism, Professor Gavin Brown, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Sydney, issued the following statement:
“This is a temporary victory for the red-necked philistines. It will damage Australia’s reputation internationally.”
