Honour roll 2011: University of Sydney celebrates student success

14 February 2012

The University of Sydney today recognised the success of hundreds of its high-achieving students during the 2011 academic year.

The 2011 Honour Roll, published in the Sydney Morning Herald, celebrates those students who graduated with honours, as well as those who won faculty prizes in recognition of their academic excellence. The honour roll also lists the winners of the University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize, awarded to recognise outstanding work by undergraduate students based on their average mark over all units of study during 2011.

"We aim to attract the most promising students, from all backgrounds, and it is always rewarding to be able to celebrate their achievements as they flourish at the University," said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Registrar Professor Derrick Armstrong. "These prizes are a fitting reward for lots of hard work."

"A degree from the University of Sydney really equips people to make a difference in many areas of life when they graduate, and I look forward to hearing about the success of these prize-winners in years to come."

Academic prizes are just one way the University of Sydney invests time and money in supporting its students. Visit our scholarships website for more information.
