Faculty to host two-day Interaction Design and Visual Communication Workshop
2 May 2011
The Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning will host 2 intensive 2-day Principles of Interaction Design and Visual Communication Workshops, commencing on the 4th and 6th of July.
The intensive workshop is designed to give HSC students an opportunity to develop 'University-ready' skills in digital and interaction design.
Guided by expert staff from the Faculty's Design Lab, students will gain experience in a range of digital design concepts, techniques and software and programming tools while working in teams to produce interactive motion graphic animated sequences.
Who is the program for?
Run during the July school holidays, it is designed primarily for HSC students undertaking Design and Technology, providing support for the key learning objectives of the Design and Technology syllabus.
HSC students undertaking Visual Arts with a technological focus would also find this program useful. The program will allow participants to produce work that may contribute towards portfolios for entry into design programs, including the University of Sydney's Bachelor of Design Computing.
Space is strictly limited to 24 participants to each session (4-5 July or 6-7 July). Applications for participation close 27 May. For more information and application details see sydney.edu.au/architecture/programs_of_study/undergraduate/interaction_design_2011.shtml
