Guest lecture from Paisajes Emergentes (Colombia)

18 April 2011

The work of Paisajes Emergentes is concerned with atmospheric effects, environmental phenomena and transient events. Projects such as their proposed weather balloon tower, awarded second prize in the Townshift International Competition, have brought the practice widespread recognition and acclaim. In 2010 Paisajes Emergentes completed a large scale swimming complex for the Pan-American Games, a remarkable achievement for an office of three directors each aged around thirty.

Luis Callejas is one of three directors of Paisajes Emergentes (Emerging Landscapes), an architecture and landscape architecture practice based in Medellin, Colombia. Luis and fellow director Sebastian Meija will be presenting at the 2011 AIA National Conference in Melbourne.
