Standards Australia award for Greg Hancock
13 November 2006
The School is pleased to announce that Prof Greg Hancock, Bluescope Steel Professor for Steel Structures, and Dean of Engineering, has been selected to receive the 2006 Standards Australia Award for Outstanding Service.
Each year, Standards Australia recognises a select group of committee and board members for their meritorious contribution to standardisation in their field.
Greg has made a major commitment over many years to Standards Australia. Most recently he chaired the committee which published the latest version of AS/NZS 4600: Cold-formed steel structures. This standard reflects state of the art knowledge in the behaviour of thin-walled steel structures, much of which is directly attributable to Greg's research.
