David Airey and Tim Wilkinson appointed Associate Deans

The Board of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, on advice of the Dean, Prof Greg Hancock, have confirmed the appointments of A/Prof David Airey as Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching) and Tim Wilkinson as Associate Dean (IT) effective from 1 April 2007.
The A/Dean (L&T) has the responsibility to make an effective contribution to the learning and teaching within the Faculty, while the A/Dean (IT) is a new postion in the Faculty to ensure that IT can provide the means to meet the research and learning & teaching goals of the faculty and the university.
A joint role of the two positions is to provide direction in the area of eLearning, given the importance of eLearning in the future directions of undergraduate and postgraduate programs within the University.
