Welcome to Chengwang Lei
30 September 2009
A/Prof Chengwang Lei joined us in September. Chengwang obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China and PhD degree in Civil and Resource Engineering at The University of Western Australia.
He joined the Environmental Fluids Group in late September after 10 years service in the School of Engineering at James Cook University, where he had held a number of research and teaching positions across multiple disciplines. His recent research is mainly focused on buoyancy driven flows particularly with environmental and industrial applications. Previously Chengwang also had research experience in hydrodynamics of offshore pipelines, which is highly relevant to offshore industry. His research interest spans over experimental modelling, numerical simulation and analytical investigation of a range of fluid and thermal problems.
