Civil students impressed at this year's Research Conversazione
4 November 2010
The annual Research Conversazione is the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies' major annual event to showcase the research undertaken by students over the past year. It is an ideal opportunity for industry representatives and alumni to network and make contact with the engineers of the future. This year's event commenced with a welcome address that included drinks and cocktail food in the Seymour Centre followed by the poster displays and prize presentations in the individual Schools.
Around 60 Civil students presented their posters to interested industry representatives, academic staff and fellow students in the Civil Engineering Drawing Office. The 2010 Research Conversazione was a great success with many complimentary comments made by industry representatives about the high standard and expanding diversity of our student research.
With 22 postgraduate and 18 undergraduate posters on display it was a tough task for our academics and industry guests to decide on the best research project, poster and presentation.
