A group of Year 10 Condell Park High School students successfully acted as Honourable Delegates from the United States of America, France, Denmark, India and even the Democratic Republic of Congo in the first of four in-school Model UN Program workshops last week.

The workshops, which will run for the next three weeks, are being facilitated by University of Sydney's Model UN Society student members and supported by the University of Sydney Golden Key students.

The workshops will provide more than 20 Condell Park students a unique opportunity to explore, research, debate and vote on a range of humanitarian issues including Child Marriage. The students are often required to explore the complexities of other nations' culture and political and economic histories.

If the first half-day workshop is anything to go by, the next three weeks promise to be full of interesting, complex and at times humorous debate.
