When: Sunday 31st October 2010
Time: 11am - 2.30pm
Where: Maclaurin Hall and Front Lawns, University of Sydney
RSVP: Friday 1st October 2010

As you will know, the Compass program has been operating in 18 Primary Schools, High Schools and IEC's for a little over a year now and we feel that it is time to bring the students, parents and teachers into the University to celebrate the program's success to date.

This day will be a family friendly event that will include:

  • Welcome and 2010 overview from our Compass team, followed by a few words from the students and teachers, at 11:00am in Maclaurin Hall
  • FREE BBQ Lunch commencing at 12:00pm
  • FREE Parking in the University grounds throughout the day

Children will be catered for with a number of hands-on activities provided by the University, while parents view artwork and films produced by students and have a chance to meet our University student volunteers, faculty and Compass staff who have been working with students in the Compass program.

After lunch you will also be most welcome to explore the University grounds or take in tours of the University's Museums, Art Gallery, Carillon and Historic Buildings.

Should you have any questions about the Compass Showcase 2010 or would like to RSVP your attendance please contact the event organiser Simone Ross on (02) 8627 8456 or email

Compass staff feel very fortunate to have worked with these school communities over the past year; we do hope that you will be able to join us for this celebration.
