University iPad users may need to change APN settings to connect to Optus 3G network

Optus recently changed 3G network settings, which has subsequently caused connectivity issues with some University of Sydney iPad users.
If you are seeing the message "Could not activate cellular data: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service"on your iPad, please update the settings on your iPad by following the steps below:
- Press Settings
- Press Cellular Data
- Press APN
- Remove theentry CONNECTME
- Type yesinternet in the APN field (leave the Username and Password fields empty)
- Slide the Airplane mode option to ON then back to OFF to reset your connection.
Changing these settings should fix any connectivity issues. If you experience any issues after changing these settings, please contact the ICT Helpdesk on 16000. Optus has apologised for the inconvenience this has caused.
