Take a sneak peek at some of the exciting events IISME has in the works for 2011.
IISME deputy director Michael Jacobson and the CoCo Research Centre have won the bid to host the International Conference of the Learning Sciences in 2012. (2 July 2010) .
Worrying trends in the study of mathematics by Australia's high school students indicate the need for closer consideration of HSC subject choices.
The 2010 UniServe Science/IISME Conference will be held from Wednesday 29th September to Friday 1st October.
IISME is in the process of hosting a series of discussion forums on the new national curricula in the Sciences and Mathematics.
Professor Stella Vosniadou, director of the Cognitive Science Laboratory at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and adjunct professor at the University of Adelaide will discuss the problem of conceptual change in the learning of science and mathematics and the role of instructional analogies.
