Global Leadership Development Program

24 March 2015

International House's Global Leadership Development Program launched on Tuesday 17th March. This program has been designed specifically for IH residents.

Dr Bradley Kunda, the Program Director, has developed this program and it will be an incredible experience for all those who will be participating. It aims to enhance our residents' international experience by assisting them to develop greater self-awareness and skills in leadership.

Jessica Carroll, Director of International House, has said "I think our Global Leadership Development Program will offer residents a real tangible set of skills; learning these skills within a diverse community of scholars, will offer them an opportunity to see where their potential lies before they graduate, and will equip them to be ready to take on the world prior to leaving the House."

The program will comprise of 16 hours of workshops for residents over the Semester 1 period with guest speakers and the opportunity for engagement and networking. Residents will then be required to submit a project at the end of the program demonstrating what they have learned from the GDLP showing meaningful interaction engaging residents that significantly enhances their residential experience.

There will also be three talks that are free and open to the public. The speakers include:

• Simon Scott, Director of Energy and Natural Resources Asia Pacific for Societe Generale Australia Ltd.

• Andrew Phelan, Chief Executive and Principal Registrar of the High Court of Australia.

• Vaughan Pratt, Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at Stanford University.

If you would be interested in attending any of these talks more details and the opportunity to RSVP is available here. Please note that all IH residents can attend and do not need to RSVP.
