AMRC staff changes
16 June 2011
AMRC Research Officer, Kate Griffiths, is leaving the AMRC in June after five years of employment. During this time, Kate has, among other things, managed the AMRC, been the Sydney research and administration officer for the Water Resources Management Research Capacity Development Program (WRMRCDP) and completed her Masters by research on 'Cultures of Aid: Chinese Aid to Cambodia'. The AMRC would like to thank Kate for her hard work over the years and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
We also welcome to the AMRC Jess McLean who will be working two days a week as AMRC Research Assistant. Jess brings a wealth of administrative and research experience to the Centre, including that gleaned through achieving a PhD in human geography in 2010. Her thesis examines water matters in the Ord catchment, northern Australia, and uses an environmental justice framework to analyse significant advances in native title recognition there. From working with Indigenous organisations in the Kimberley, to university based lectures and tutoring, Jess is well equipped for the role. She looks forward to contributing to the valuable work of the AMRC.
