It's never too early to plan your career (or find a casual job)
University may have just started for the year, but employers are already recruiting for internships and graduate placements.
So if you’re keen to get started on planning your career, our Careers Centre should be your first port of call.
The Centre’s events provide the opportunity to connect with employers at a range of information sessions and careers fairs that kick off this week with the Investment Banking and Consultancy Careers Fair on 26 February.
The Centre also runs general fairs and information sessions, including the Graduate Jobs and Internships Fair which will feature a wide range of employers looking to recruit students into their graduate, internship and vacation work programs - it's a great opportunity to get an idea of what different employers are looking for.

The Centre also hosts the Internship and Vacation Work Fair, which will help you find vacation and internship work to put you on the right path to becoming a competitive graduate.
Careers Centre Manager Nitsa Athanassopoulos said the best way for students to keep up-to-date with which employers are recruiting on campus is to go to Sydney CareerHub, the Career Centre’s online jobs and events database.
“Employer information sessions provide a good opportunity to get a sense of an organisation’s selection criteria, as well as to gather information that will help you submit an effective application,” Ms Athanassopoulos said.
“For new students these events provide a great chance to get a feel for the corporate culture of a particular business, and to start planning your own future.
“For students in their final year, these fairs and information sessions can be a great chance to get your foot in the door.”
Each year employers post more than 6,500 jobs for students on Sydney CareerHub. You’ll find them all when you login, but you can get a taste of what’s on the menu by signing up to Hot Jobs which features some of the best opportunities as spotlighted by the Careers Centre team.
