About us

The Centre for Translational Data Science was founded in 2015 to develop data science solutions in a variety of disciplines.

CTDS is unleashing data’s transformational potential at the University of Sydney and beyond and leading new advances in the physical, life and social sciences through research and the application of data and machine learning technologies.

CTDS creates and fosters partnership between data scientists and researcher domain experts across the University as well as government and industry, working collaboratively on a broad range of research projects.

The Centre is also building capacity through offering training in data science as a translational methodology to our students as well as the wider community.
