Dr Angela Beaton is a Research Associate of the Menzie Centre for Health Policy (University of Sydney); and Team Manager (School of Engineering, Science and Primary Industries) and Research Associate (Centre for Health and Social Practice) at the Waikato Institute of Technology (New Zealand).

Angela is an experienced academic manager and administrator with over ten years' experience in teaching and research management and development in the higher education sector. Angela was a Research Fellow and Project Manager at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy (2009-2011) and she was awarded the Baxter Health Policy Award for Excellence by the University of Sydney (2008).

During her time in Sydney, Angela was also involved in establishing the University of Sydney Cancer Research Network and the Sydney Health Policy Network. Angela is currently contributing to a multidisciplinary research project to inform cultural guidelines for genetic research and biobanking in NZ. This project is being led by the Te Kotahi Research Institute at University of Waikato in NZ. [Hide detail]
