Thesis abstract:

«p style="text-align:justify"»This research seeks to investigate the effectiveness of earthquake-resilient housing structural systems, particularly among the nonengineered construction practice, and their role in reducing vulnerability in Indonesia. The housing structural performance, benefit-cost ratio, and also the needed after shocks recovery time will be analysed. The community's housing resilience achievement would be evaluated along with a comparative study of both the success and unsuccess stories of achieving it. Furthermore, this research would investigate the barrier of building safer housing construction endeavors within Indonesia context.«/p»
