The study abroad internship program gives you the opportunity to complement your academic study with meaningful industry experience. As an intern you will complete:
- 15 days/120 hours of meaningful industry placement;
- 8 hours of professional development workshops.
- 4 reflective journals (400 words each) and;
- 1 final project report (2500 words).
The study abroad internship is worth 6 credit points. In general, students selected for the program will enrol in 3 classes plus the internship.
Eligibility
Study abroad internships are allocated on a competitive basis. To be considered for this program you must:
- Be enrolled at a tertiary institution overseas;
- Have completed at least 1.5 years of tertiary study;
- Have strong academic background;
- Satisfy the English language requirements; and
- Successfully complete an interview process after your arrival in Sydney.
Please note: the International Office will make every effort to offer internships to all eligible students however placement cannot be guaranteed prior to interview.
In case your application to the study abroad internship program is unsuccessful, prospective students are advised to also enrol for an additional subject. Placement will be finalised by the third week of classes.

- Medical Research;
- Not For Profit; and
- Operations.

Fees
The 2012 study abroad program fee is $11,640 Australian dollars per semester. There are no additional fees for the internship program.

- Resume; and
- Cover letter.
Closing dates
Applications for the study abroad internship program must be received by:
- 31 December 2011 for Semester 1, March 2012; and
- 30 April 2012 for Semester 2, July 2012.
