Discovery Bus Tour

The Discovery Bus Tour is a chance for Stage 2 Sydney Medical Program students to discover Dubbo and Orange. Students will have the chance to check out the towns (the night life included), hospitals, as well as the School of Rural Health teaching and accommodation facilities.

Occurring over a weekend in March, the Discovery Bus Tour will leave Sydney and travel to both Orange and Dubbo. In Dubbo, students will explore the Royal Flying Doctors Service, Dubbo Base Hospital, The School of Rural Health in Dubbo, and Dubbo in general as well as stay the night. The Bus will also visit Orange where a trip to the Orange Health Service and Bloomfield campus, The School of Rural Health in Orange, the student accommodation and Orange in general will be undertaken. After a night in Dubbo and Orange, students will return to Sydney on Monday.

The Discovery Bus Tour provides an opportunity to get a feel for the hospital or town that you think would best suit you, it is also a great weekend exploring Central West and Western NSW.

The 2017 tour will be held on March 18th, 19th and 20th. All Stage 2 Sydney Medical School students will receive dates and application forms in 2016.
