Professor Anita Ho-Baillie

Professor Anita Ho-Baillie

Anita is a leader in perovskite solar cells technology. Her achievements in setting solar cell energy efficiency world records in various categories have placed her research at the forefront internationally.

Professor Nalini Joshi

Professor Nalini Joshi

Nalini's research focuses on mathematical methods to study integrable systems, which arise as universal models everywhere. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to mathematical science and tertiary education.

Professor Kathy Belov

Professor Kathy Belov AO

Kathy is a leading geneticist focusing on immunogenetics and genomics of Australia's wildife, including Tasmanian devils, wallabies, platypuses, koalas, frogs, skinks, cats and baths. She led the world-first sequencing of the koala genome, that now helps inform conservations efforts to save our iconic wildlife.

Associate Professor Alice Motion

Associate Professor Alice Motion

Alice is a chemist and is recognised as a leading international science communicator. In 2025, she was named as one of ABC and UNSW's Top 5 Under 40 in recognition of her passion for sharing science stories.

Sydney University Women in Science Society encourages and supports gender equity in Science. The society represents the voices of female and gender non-conforming students and celebrates equity across all spectrums, promoting networking between students, academics and industry representatives.
