Rehabilitation Counselling


Rehabilitation counsellors work with people experiencing injury, disability or social disadvantage. The aim of rehabilitation counselling is to assist people affected by disabilities or disadvantage to attain maximum participation in employment and community life through appropriate assessment, counselling, service provision and support.

We offer both a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling and Graduate Diploma of Rehabilitation Counselling. Both courses include extensive clinical and professional fieldwork opportunities.

Qualified professionals in the field are in high demand with many students securing a position prior to graduation. Recent investment by the Federal Government in innovative solutions for disadvantaged job seekers, coupled with a growing focus on social inclusion and the development of nationally consistent workers compensation practice standards, is also set to increase demand for services. You may work with a range of other professionals such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors and nurses to case manage clients.
