Scholarships and prizes
Named scholarships are available to donors who make a five-year commitment (minimum $30,000).
Scholarships enable our best and brightest students to realise their potential. Undergraduate scholarships cover costs of items such as; study materials, living expenses, relocating costs, rent and food.
Financial Hardship Scholarship
Bright, motivated and able nursing students should be able to complete their studies to the best of their ability, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Honours Research Scholarship
The honours year is an important one for our undergraduate students, often giving them their first real hands on research experience. We would like to expand the number of scholarships that provide students a stipend while they undertake a research project for their honours degree.
The postgraduate scholarship is offered to students of outstanding research ability to undertake a full-time PhD in any area within their chosen faculty. This scholarship enables leaders of tomorrow to hone their investigative skills under the direction of an experienced supervisor. The value of the scholarship is equivalent to an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA).
The Scholarships Office administers scholarships for undergraduates, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate
research students. There are over 700 scholarship schemes on offer and each year the University of Sydney gives out over $65 million in scholarships.
