Startup Careers Fair

Meet employers by coming to our annual Startup Careers Fair

Each year we hold a Startup Careers Fair on campus. Meet and speak with startup employers about entrepreneurial career options.

Startup Career Fair

Thursday 11 April 2019,
5.30-7.30pm
MacLaurin Hall, The Quadrangle
Registrations open 1 February 2019

Do you have initiative, creativity and a drive to succeed? Do you want to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment where you can really make a difference? Come to the Startup Careers Fair and connect with entrepreneurial employers.

Prepare for the fair by attending the Startup Careers Panel Discussion beforehand where industry speakers will share their own experiences working in startups and answer your questions.

Students from all disciplines, including Engineering and IT, Media and Communications, Business and more, are encouraged to attend the Startup Careers Fair.

Panel discussion

Join us for our Startup Careers Panel Discussion where entrepreneurs and professionals working in startups will share their entrepreneurial experience and knowledge and provide advice on entering the startup space. This will also be a valuable opportunity for you to ask the panel questions to gain industry insights before you start networking with prospective employers at the Startup Careers Fair.

Careers Fair and networking

  • Interact with various startup companies, to learn about their daily excitement and challenges of working in a startup.
  • Connect with innovative entrepreneurs of all industries, size and growth stage.
  • Explore real opportunities of potentially working in a startup, where you are valued and can make a real contribution.

Preparing yourself is the best way to help you stand out from the competition at the Fair. Dress code might be more smart casual than smart business but being polished and presentable is still important.  Read 7 Ways to Impress at a Careers Fair for further tips and use our Elevator Pitch Builder to get prepared and make the most of the Fair.
