The Sydney Knowledge Hub's team manages works in collaboration with the broader University and startup sector to develop a vibrant ecosystem of support for research commercialisation.
Much of our work is done in collaboration with other parts of the University including the Research Portfolio, the Innovation Hub, faculties and schools.
Jane Cockburn
Acting Director
Jane has 20+ years experience working within and for corporate, start-up and academic industries. She brings a complementary range of expertise in product development, change, human centred design and marketing across multiple industries with an applied focus on Medical Technology.

Partnerships and Events Manager
Karla is a passionate professional in collaboration, innovation and research commercialisation, with 15+ years of experience in marketing, partnership building, business development, and project management. At the Hub, Karla strengthens connections between the University of Sydney, startups, and Sydney’s vibrant tech community. Through strategic partnerships, events, workshops, and sponsorships, Karla provides researchers and entrepreneurs with access to key resources, fostering growth, impact, and commercial success.
Isabella Nahon
Project Coordinator
Isabella brings a passion and excellence for running events and project management and a curiosity to learn about the commercialisation industry. Isabella will be driving our current programs, including the PERIscope Commercialisation Award and working with the team to shape new programs.
