Performing music creates a multitude of social relationships between listeners, audiences, musicians, performers, and the industries and institutions that surround them. Students will examine approaches to the teaching and learning of music, and the practices of its many cultures whilst exploring diversity issues.
The minor can offer a pathway to a vast array of rewarding careers such as writing about music as a journalist, commentator, critic, or media professional, or arts administration, including curating, marketing, festival, and venue management.
