Thesis abstract:
«p»This project aims to develop an advanced predictive model of corrosion failures for water infrastructure assets. Central to the model is the integration of comprehensive historical data and field test results that incorporate geographical and environmental insights for an accurate definition of corrosion-influencing factors. The model is set to predict potential failures using the defined parameters while at the same time focusing on the external aspects of the pipes in the water assets. The model is theoretically set to improve the cost efficiency of managing water infrastructure assets through the refinement of maintenance strategies, where more accurate maintenance and replacement planning is achieved through the rigorous analysis and simulation of corrosion phenomena under diverse conditions. The outcomes of the developed model are supposed to enhance the performance of the asset by guaranteeing its reliability and sustained functionality in water treatment systems.«/p»
