With a focus on food, energy, health, water and the environment we engage with industry, government and the community to support researchers and educate aspiring engineers, as they endeavour to solve today’s pressing issues.
The School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering offered Australia's first university-level chemical engineering program. Since then, we have been committed to excellence in both teaching and research in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering and biotechnology, energy and environment, green product and process design, minerals processing, process systems engineering and sustainability.
Add substantial value to your industrial research and development through our chemical engineering analytical services.
Industry can access extensive analytical laboratory facilities with advanced equipment, in-depth knowledge and insight from staff with proven experience in chemical engineering research.
The Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scholarship (ESIPS), previously MIPPS, places some of our top students within leading companies for six months on a full-time basis. Our goal is to enrich the student’s learning experience by immersing them in industry, whilst offering companies the opportunity to work with talented young minds at an early stage in their career. Students are in their final year of either an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.
Since launching in 2000, over 175 students have been through this placement, with over 20 companies participating.
