ESIPS partnerships

Engage our brightest students on projects designed for your organisation

Our Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scholarship (ESIPS) offers organisations the opportunity to work with some of our highest achieving Engineering students in the final year of their studies.

What is the ESIPS program?

The ESIPS program is designed to place our top students studying either an undergraduate engineering or advanced computing degree* or a Master of Professional Engineering within leading industry companies.

Our goal is to enrich the student’s learning experience by immersing them in industry, whilst offering companies the opportunity to work with talented young minds at an early stage in their career.

Over the course of a six-month full-time industry placement, each student involved in the program undertakes a high-level investigative project, based on the needs of their partner organisation.

Your organisation will benefit from the fresh ideas and enthusiasm this next generation of engineering, computing and project management leaders can bring to your team’s working environment.

Discover examples of previous high-level investigative projects (pdf, 219 KB) undertaken by our students on behalf of their partner organisations.

*ESIPS is unavailable to students studying a Bachelor of Project Management.

Marine & Civil Maintenance has used ESIPS for graduate recruitment for several years, and every recruit has been of the highest quality. Their robust vetting process ensures candidates align with both the professional and cultural needs of our business, resulting in a high proportion of full-time placements after program completion. Great for the students, great for us.

MTA has been working with the University of Sydney and ESIPS candidates since 2022. The ESIPS students have contributed strongly to our knowledge of leading-edge techniques and applicable programmes as well as being able to easily integrate into our operational teams. The overall experience with the ESIPS programme has been rewarding for our business.
