What is project management?

Project managers help organisations deliver new products, services and infrastructure, implement new systems and processes, and ultimately effect change. Project management skills are highly regarded and sought after, and can be applied within a wide range of industries, including infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, information systems, IT, finance, law, health administration, events, organisational change and consultancy.

Master of Project Management

Our Master of Project Management will equip you with the skills to be a successful project officer, project manager or project director. The course starts with the fundamental methodologies and analytical techniques required for the design and implementation of projects, before progressing to advanced concepts of governance, strategic delivery, the dynamics of risk and resilience, and program management.

You will have the opportunity to undertake an international study tour, working with students from other leading international universities.

If you have more than three years of relevant work experience, you may also be eligible to:

  • apply to enter the Advanced Track of study, to accelerate your learning through teaching approaches designed to build on existing experience
  • apply for up to 24 points of credit, reducing the duration of your degree by one third.

Master of Project and Program Management

Our Master of Project and Program Management is a unique program tailored to take your project management career further with advanced skills in strategic planning, stakeholder management and leadership.

The course has been designed for experienced project manages with a minimum two years’ work experience who want to develop their strategic thinking capability and gain the organisation skills required to manage larger projects and program portfolios.

This master’s degree will allow you to draw on your workplace experience as you learn. You will work closely with a range of industry partners who share their knowledge, experience and opportunities in all aspects of the course – from workshops to assessments – and learn from others who are facing and solving complex project and program challenges.

You can also undertake an international study tour, working with students from other leading international universities.

Our flexible study options include online or intensive block mode workshops to accommodate your professional commitments.
