Become a member

To qualify for academic membership, you must:

• be employed on a full-time, part-time or casual basis, or hold an honorary position at The University of Sydney
• have active ties to infection-related research, education or service that is aligned with the broad aims of Sydney ID
  

Academic members will:

• become part of the Sydney ID community and benefit from collective efforts to raise our profile research productivity
• be eligible to apply for Sydney ID grants (seed funding and strategic)
• include their Sydney ID affiliation on their university academic profile
• include their Sydney ID affiliation in their email signature block
• receive the quarterly newsletter and targeted communications
• be eligible to participate in relevant events

To qualify for student membership, you must:

• be enrolled in an undergraduate, Honours, Postgraduate Coursework, Research Masters, or PhD program at the University of Sydney
• be working in an infection-related field
  

Student members will:

• be eligible to apply for Sydney ID prizes, scholarships and selected grants
• receive the quarterly newsletter and targeted student communications
• be eligible to participate in relevant events

If you don't qualify for any of the above Sydney ID memberships, you're welcome to come on board as a friend of Sydney ID.

To qualify as a friend of Sydney ID, you must:

• have an interest in infectious diseases and the work done by Sydney ID

Friends of Sydney ID will:

• receive the quarterly newsletter and targeted communications
• be given priority access to relevant events
