Register as a student-at-law, enrolment, calendars and orientation

The first step to undertake the course is to apply to the Legal Profession Admission Board for NSW (LPAB) for registration as a student-at-law.

Download the application form from the LPAB's website to register.

Lodge the completed form with the LPAB by 1 March to enrol in the Winter semester (May to August) and 1 September to enrol in the Summer semester (November to February).

Once your application has been accepted by the LPAB and you are registered as a student-at-law you will receive in the mail an enrolment package prior to the enrolment period for each semester, the last week in October for the Summer session and the last week in April for the Winter session. You enrol with the LPAB in your chosen subjects each semester. Examination and tuition fees are payable in advance for each subject in which you enrol. The University will provide you with your student Library Card and UniKey Account which will enable you to access all of the resources of the Sydney Law School Library including the online resources.
